Meddiet Info Point Presentation In Greece 15-16 May - Kalamata, Greece

The Cultural Foundation “Routes of the Olive Tree”, in cooperation with the Environmental Education Center of Kalamata and the national Network of Environmental Education Centers “ELIA” have realised three Info Point presentation events in Kalamata. 
Aiming at the biggest visibility possible, the main event was held on Friday, 15th May at the Environmental Education Center of Kalamata, on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the Greek Network of Environmental Education Centers, with the presence of approximately 300 teachers and in¬stitution representatives from all over Greece. 
In parallel, were organised two more presentations: on Saturday 16th May at the Hotel REX (MESANA hall), in the framework of a workshop addressed to young people and on Sunday 17th May, at the European Information Center – Europe Direct Kalamata, which will continue to promote the MedDiet Info Point in the future.
During all three events, the MedDiet project was presented: framework, objectives, achieved results and valorisation perspectives. The MedDiet Info Point was presented by the Responsible of the Environmental Education Center of Kalamata, Mr. George PANAGOPOULOS, who had been trained at a specific seminar in Alexandria, Egypt. 

The MedDiet Info Point, hosted at the Environmental Education Center of Kalamata (Thoukididou 2), is going to provide the general public with information on the Mediterranean Diet, local traditional products, the MedDiet project, as well as with free promotional material. 

The other Greek partner, the Messinian Chamber of Com¬merce & Industry, has announced the official opening of one MedDiet Info Point at the Union of Hellenic Chambers in Athens, on the occasion of the General Assembly of Greek Chambers in Patras, and is going to implement an official presentation event in July 2015 in Koroni.
